Qutub Minar: Construction of Qutub Minar, 73 m-high tower of victory was started by Qutub-ud-din Aibak in 1200 AD and hence it was named as Qutub Minar. The successor Iltutmush also added three more storeys with Firoz Shah Tughlak and others. Qutub Minar is a World Heritage Site and has survived the ravages of time impressively. The Minar of Delhi is surrounded by a lush green garden, which is an ideal leisurely place for visitors.  The soaring conical tower is an exquisite example of Indo-Islamic Afghan architecture.

Humayun’s TombThe most perfectly proportioned and captivating of Delhi's mausoleums, Humayun’s tomb seems to float above the gardens that surround it. Built in the mid-16th century by Haji Begum, the Persian-born senior wife of the Mughal emperor Humayun, the tomb brings together Persian and Mughal elements, creating a template that strongly influenced the Taj Mahal.

The arched facade is inland with bands of white marble and red sandstone, and the building follows strict rules of Islamic geometry, with an emphasis on the number eight. Alive with green parakeets, the surrounding gardens contain the tombs of the emperor's favorite barber and Haji Begum. This was where the last Mughal emperor, Bahadur Shah Zafar, took refuge before being captured and exiled by the British in 1857.

Jama MasjidThe Masjid-I Jahān-Numā (the 'World-reflecting Mosque'), commonly known as the Jama Masjid of Delhi, is the principal mosque of Old Delhi in India. Commissioned by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, it is the best-known mosque in India. Construction of this Mosque began in 1650 and was completed in 1656. It lies at the beginning of the Chawri Bazar Road, a very busy central street of Old Delhi. Jama Masjid Indeed is one of the finest examples of Mughal architecture. With 408 square feet main courtyard, it is paved with red stone. One could attend the prayers in the centre.

India Gate: India Gate is one of the major tourist destinations in the Indian context. It was primarily built as a memorial to commemorate the 70,000 India soldiers killed in World War I it was designed by Sir Edwin Lutyens. As it is located on Rajpath, the road which leads to the magnificent Rashtrapati Bhawan, it is one of the most impressive places in Delhi.
Rajghat: South of the Red Fort, on the banks of the Yamuna River, a simple black-marble platform marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated following his assassination on 31 Jan’1948. It’s a thought-provoking spot, inscribed with what are said to have been Gandhi's final words, ‘Hai Ram’ (Oh, God). Across Kisan Ghat Rd is the Gandhi Darshan, a huge pavilion displaying photos relating to the Mahatma.

Rajghat is recognized for the mortal remains of Mahatma Gandhi, the father of the Indian nation. It was in the evening of January 31, 1948 when Mahatma Gandhi was cremated. One could see the last words, 'Hey Ram' (Oh God) engraved in a garden with fountains and a variety of exotic trees.
