Itinerary Details
Day - 1     Arrival in Cochin

On arrival at Cochin Airport, our representative will meet and greet you and transfer you to the hotel. 
Later, Proceed for a half day sightseeing of Cochin. A few interesting sites included in the tour are the Chinese fishing nets along the Vasco Da Gama Square, Santa Cruz Basilica, St. Francis Church, VOC Gate, Bastion Bungalow, etc. Apart from these architectural splendours, an array of restaurants serving fresh seafood is also popular among tourists. The Chinese fishing nets erected on teak wood and bamboo poles work on the principle of balance. Records say they were first set up here between AD 1350 and 1450. Vasco Da Gama Square, the narrow promenade that parallels the beach, is the best place to watch the nets being lowered and pulled out of the sea.

Day - 2     Cochin – Kumarakom by surface

After breakfast proceed to Kumarakom. Reach and check into your resort. Visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary.

Kumarakom bird sanctuary, spread across 14 acres, has an interesting variety of birdlife.

If you are a bird enthusiast, visit the sanctuary between June and August, the breeding season of resident wetland birds such as Indian Darter, Little cormorant, different species of egrets and herons, white ibis, several species of kingfishers, etc. Between the months of November and May, the bushes and woods of the sanctuary play host to some rare migratory birds. The Vembanad lake body attracts waterfowl like pin-tailed duck, garganey teal, spot-billed duck, birds of prey like osprey, marsh harrier, steppe eagle, etc (Visiting hours: 0600 to 1800 hrs)

Rest of the day is at leisure to relax.

Overnight will be in Kumarakom.

Day - 3     Kumarakom – Alleppey by surface

After breakfast continue drive to Alleppey and check into a traditional Kerala Houseboat for an overnight stay.

The backwaters of Kerala are a unique product of Kerala and are found nowhere else in the world. Backwaters are a network of lakes, canals and estuaries and deltas of forty-four rivers that drain into the Arabian Sea. The backwaters of Kerala are a self supporting Eco-system teeming with aquatic life. The canals connect the villages together and are still used for local transport. Over 900 km of this labyrinthine water world is navigable.

Start the cruise on backwater and enjoy seeing the small canal and village around it.

In the evening, the boat will anchor at one point and the dinner will be served there.

Enjoy the special dinner on board houseboat.

Overnight will be on board houseboat.

Day - 4     Alleppey - Cochin – Next destination

After breakfast, transfer to Cochin airport to catch the flight for onward destination.
