How quickly will you reply?
We usually respond within one business day with a paced outline based on your dates, interests, and comfort level. Complex multi-country routes may take a little longer while we check availability.
Are all trips fully customised?
Yes. Every itinerary is built around your pace, hotel preferences, and interests—not a fixed group departure. You can start from a sample route on our website or describe your own idea from scratch.

We plan tailor-made travel across India and much of Asia, including Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Cambodia, Thailand, Bali, Singapore, Malaysia, and other selected regions.

We focus on well-reviewed 4★ and 5★ properties, heritage stays, and boutique hotels that suit your style and budget. We share options clearly so you can approve before anything is booked.
Will someone support us during the trip?
Yes. You have reachable support before, during, and after travel. Local guides and drivers are briefed on your itinerary, and we stay available if plans need adjusting on the ground.
How do bookings and payments work?
After you approve an outline, we confirm hotels, transport, and guides, then share a clear payment schedule—typically a deposit to secure key services and the balance before departure. We explain every step in writing.

Glorious week long Golden Triangle tour We had the most wonderful tour with the help of Ajay and Anupama Sethi and their wonderful guides. They planned a detailed itinerary satisfying the needs of all 21 people in our group, and executed flawlessly. Golden Triangle - Trip of a Lifetime. My experience with this travel company was nothing short of amazing. From beginning to end, the trip was fun-filled, well-organized, and packed with all the best experiences you could imagine. Every day had a special monuments to visit and place to dine. The tour guides were incredibly knowledgeable, sharing rich history about every monument and place we visited. They passed on their passion for the culture and the places we explored to me and my family. Transportation was also a highlight—the van service was luxurious, comfortable, and took us to unique, off-the-beaten-path locations we never would have gone to on our own. We traveled daily and between the cities Delhi, Agra, and Jaipur. The owners, Anapuma and Ajaay, were wonderful hosts. They were so kind, easy to talk to, and always available to answer questions. They went above and beyond when my luggage broke—helping me find a brand-new suitcase using Blinkit. Love the app. They are so thoughtful. I can’t recommend this company enough. If you want a trip filled with adventure, comfort, and care, this is the team to travel with.

Anil V First Class Golden Triangle 11 day tour I must say this was the first time we have used Distant India Journeys and it will definitely not be the last they are a superb company who look after you every day on the tours. The hotels we stopped at were all 5 star and beautiful. We had 19 in our group and we got on well with all of these people. The cost was reasonable and each days tour on the itinery was excellent

Vinoshini My 2nd trip with Distant India Journeys and It We actually wanted to tour around Chennai but didnt want to stay in the city centre to avoid the crowd, so we stayed around Mahabalipuram, Pondicherry, and Chennai on the last day. en route we got to see Kanchipuram. Overall it was a very refreshing experience, to see the sea and walk along the promenades, it wasnt the tourist season so there wasnt much crowd. Ajay as usual planned everything out for us very detailedly, so we had a good time and a good driver, Mr Mohan, who took good care of us.

Massimo (Pesapao) South India Tour We spent (8 friends) two weeks in India in a personalized private tour organized by distant India Journeys. They have been very supportive since the preparation of the tour giving us a lot of valuable infos. the tour itself was perfect without a single issue. The vans were always good as well hotels selection, drivers and guides. We book the flights by ourselves and one domestic was cancelled. They look for alternatives and they find a solution that minimize our discomfort.
